What if you couldn’t write ever again?

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve wanted to give up on writing. There’re countless moments in my life where I thought, “that’s it, I’m done!” The feeling of defeat danced around my mind more than a few times making me believe I was a failure. I battled with what I thought my writing career would be compared to the reality. But then I thought about what would become of the words that floated in my brain constantly.

Quitting is easy until it’s not.

Giving up can seem like the easiest choice when you find that writing isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. If it’s not working out now then it’ll never work out, right? Trying to convince yourself that your dream of becoming a successful writer is unattainable seems reasonable in the moment. So, you quit. I know I did…a lot.

But then I found that my thoughts wouldn’t leave me alone. I had so much to say and nowhere to put it. You might have experienced that too. The desire to write so badly after you decided to leave it all behind. There’s a yarning in your spirit to get all the words out and release everything you’ve been holding it. It’s never long before you pick up a pen and paper or start tapping away at your computer because you can’t stay away from writing for too long.
